Trefoil Cavaliers, CT, USA
My life in Cavaliers began in 1988 when David and I imported Bembridge Resemble from the UK. He was to become an important sire in the early days of AKC recognition and stands behind many winners today. He lived to almost 15 without any MVD.
I have judged Cavaliers at both all breed shows and many specialties throughout the USA and abroad since 1997. My judging of both Cavaliers and Boxers has taken me all over the world—to Australia, Japan, Brazil, the UK, and more. It was my great honor to judge bitches at our ACKCSC National in Orlando in 2010.
Together with my husband David, I have bred many Cavalier champions under our Trefoil affix. We were also thrilled to achieve ROM status with Ch Elvenhome Keep Going and Ch Elvenhome Creme de Menthe, both imported from Jeanie Montford in Sydney.
I have written 2 books and many published articles about Boxers and Cavaliers; I did the breed column for the ‘AKC Gazette’ for over a decade; I have served on the ACKCSC Board of Directors since it was established, and was chair of Judges’ Education for some years. To that end, I am proud to have seen the very well received ACKCSC Breed Guide written and published. Since 2008 a true labor of love for me is the yearly creation of the ACKCSC Calendar to benefit the Charitable (health) and Rescue trusts.
I am a founding member of the ACKCSC and so gratified to have seen it grow and flourish since those early days of the 90s. Like our Cavaliers, it has proven to be resilient and strong, with a kind heart.
