“Don’t Panic Yet! Insights on Whelping and Supporting New Born Puppies”
The 2018 Breeders Education Seminar is about whelping with suggestions about how breeders can work through whelping difficulties, about getting puppies ’started’, and about care of struggling newborn puppies. The program will be presented by Karen Cusick, Veribas Cavaliers.

Presenter: Karen Cusick
Karen Cusick is a Cavalier breeder and a nurse who specializes in Neonatal Intensive Care. She worked for 24 years in a very busy regional unit in London, England, taking care of babies as young as 23 weeks gestation and as small as 375 grams! She was also a breast feeding advisor. She currently is a registered Midwife, doing home births and also works as a Doula.
Karen moved to the US in 2004 with 3 pet Cavaliers. She became interested in showing and breeding Cavaliers where she has been very successful. She is interested in helping newborn puppies, using the skills and knowledge developed from working with her tiny human patients.
